PCI DSS Mobile Payment Standards
PCI DSS has announced that it will be improving its security standards concerning payments done through mobile devices. Currently, there are two separate standards mandates, the first being software-based and working around PINprotection (SPoC), and the second mainly working to secure contactless payments being done through devices such as phones and watches (COTS). The new and improved mandate would continue to support both Software-based pin protection and solutions that provide contactless payment, but the ultimate goal is to be able to easily adaptable to any new forms of payments which may develop in the future.
