Vulnerability in Apache Log4j library

This past Friday, a critical vulnerability in the Apache Log4j library was reported, the severity of this vulnerability was scaled at a level 10 out of 10. In the case of malicious exploitation of this vulnerability, it would leave an easy and open gate for an attacker to take full control over the system. As Java is a commonly used program, this vulnerability left many companies worldwide scrambling over the weekend to mitigate some sort of protection for their servers. Many businesses including government-run sites opted for a full shutdown of their online systems as a temporary barrier to avoid any chance of a breach. The suggested advice, for now, is to make sure that the software is up to date and keeping up with any released news.
