Our Story
HostedPCI was launched in 2009 to bridge an existing gap that was then present in the eCommerce market. Company’s at that time were having to choose between their customer service experience and securely managing their clients’ credit card information. The costs for PCI DSS compliance are extremely high, and merchants were having to redirect clients to an external gateway page to finalize their checkout process in order to reduce their PCI scope. HostedPCI wanted to change that! By creating the HostedPCI iFrame, independent vaulting, and tokenization solutions we are able to give companies ownership and control over their data.
With our established certification and PCI solution for online payments, we eagerly began working on a solution to help call center agents to accept credit cards securely over the phone. With help from our QSA, we were able to develop a PCI-compliant IVR, which allows our client to maintain their customer service experience. HostedPCI was one of the first 3rd party proxies to develop an assisted IVR solution. Our IVR solution became available to our clients in 2011.
